Some of Our Favorite AN EMBER IN THE ASHES Fan Art

As we continue our #EmberReRead, we thought we’d stop and notice all of the amazing fan art that has been created for the series over the years. In anticipation of A Reaper at the Gates coming June 12, we’re sharing some of our favorite fan art of Laia, Elias, and Helene!

The cutest Elias we ever did see. And check out her Laia cards, too!

Insta ate my last post…attempt 2. The wildly talented @gaby_thedragon let me repost these beautiful portraits of #LaiaofSerra and #HeleneAquilla. Scroll through to see her rad interpretation of Helene’s mask. Thanks Gaby. ❤❤❤ Original captions below: #Repost @gaby_thedragon ・・・ Kinda obsessed with A Torch Against the Night by @sabaatahir and I can’t wait to finish it, but I am also very afraid. So of course I had to try and doodle Laia, one of the most amazing cinnamon rolls that could actually kill you with a simple determined stare :)) . . #myart #artistoninstagram #art #digitalart #painting #digitalpainting #krita #fanart #anemberintheashes #aeita #laiaofserra #atorchagainstthenight #atatn #laia #ya #bookworm #books #yaliterature #yalit #sabaatahir ・・・ Another character from An Ember in the Ashes by @sabaatahir cause… Have I mentioned I’m obsessed? It’s the fierce Hel (apropiate nickname) this time! Honestly, i had such trouble figuring out how to draw that mask and i’m still uncertain about it….

Helloooo, Elaia!

“I just read the new excerpt from #areaperatthegates today and I’m so excited to see this strong, independent heroine again! She’s such a wonderfully relatable character, and is so real.”

This Elias has the BEST brows, tho.

QUEEN Helene (er, we mean Blood Shrike)

She is considering naming her first-born son Elias, people!!

Not only is this beautiful Laia fan art, it’s drawn by Astrid Scholte, the author of the upcoming Four Dead Queens! Authors, they’re just like us!

This is so spot on!

“To be honest, this was the first time I’ve felt represented in a novel I was interested in, and I’m 21 years old! I’ve read tons of of books, and for this to be the first? We have to do better, and Sabaa is a fantastic storyteller and such an inspiration.”

This is

Gorgeous!

All three
